Local know-how
Good to know in Surrey
- Newer houses and townhouses in areas like Clayton and Grandview Heights often still have carpet upstairs — engineered hardwood and vinyl plank are popular replacements.
- Many Surrey houses have basement suites. Waterproof vinyl plank is a practical, hard-wearing choice for them.
- Older ranchers and split-levels in Newton, Whalley and Guildford may have hardwood under the carpet that can be refinished.
